Music From and Inspired by the Motion Picture 'Dazzler'

DazzlerI suppose since now that the Spice Girls have gotten together, Xanadu has been made into a real musical, and a Transformers live action film have been made, all my wishes really have come true this summer. It was a good summer for wishes and dreams.

Well, almost all of them. Wouldn't a live-action Dazzler (some-time X-Men team member) movie be awesome? Who do you think would play the best Dazzler? Heidi Klum? (too old by now). If we only had a time machine we could go back and get Farrah Fawcett, pre-Charlie's Angels to play her. Here's a blogger who is obsessed with Dazzler (Thanks John), and the Marvel Team-Up of the Ambiguously Gay Duo and Dazzler.

From Eoghan in Northern Ireland: rugby player's day job as florist. And he's cute too!

My nose is doing better, thanks! I was a little aggro at Blowoff from time to time. I forget how a good game can really keep you high on whatever it is that makes you aggro. I have to watch it in crowded spaces or I want to get people out of my way. Regardless, I had a nice time, but didn't want to mack all that much in the Saliva Pit as I was worried about bumping my nose again and starting a gusher.

My connection to the datasphere has been severed:
Cable 1
Thankfully the siezures have stopped. I still have Internets, but only get Fox and NBC clearly now on TV. It looks like a car's bumper hit the cable, as there's been digging and construction next door. Gonna have to call Comcast to get it fixed. Anyone got a funky wrench to undo fused cables?
Cable 2
More gunshots reported (and I heard it) early Sunday morning at around 2:45am.

This is getting ridiculous. That makes 3 in a week plus 2 arsons nearby. The crack lighting (as opposed to track lighting) was set up over the weekend at 5th and R to try and scare away the gunhappy.

I'll bet Dazzler could kick their asses.

Jimbo: I live in Eckington (a stone's throw east of you) and this has been one of the worst crime 'summers' on record here! My home has been burglarized once each year the past three years (I sold my place and move in just 2 weeks!). I put security alarm in, bars on the windows and lock the doors/keep lights on/etc all the time. Well, they broke windows and even pulled the bars out of the brick (latest robbery)..and that caused me to build a fence ($600 later)... Someone on our local listserve described this city's motto as it should be recently:

"DC---If I can't have it--you can't either"....

Best wishes..watch your back.

Hey Jimbo,

I've been reading your blog for a year or so now, but have been too shy to comment.

I think your blog is fantastic. I love reading it, you're the first on my list to read in the morning when I get to work! And while I personally think a live action Emma Frost movie would be better, I agree that Dazzler would be cool to.

Anyhow, keep up the great work.

Cheers, Xx

They did have a pilot for a cheaply-made New Mutants years ago, featuring Frost and Banshee as leaders in the School for Gifted Youngsters. I forget who the actress was who played her, she was on Dynasty or Falcon crest originally, but she was great. Whoever played Banshee was hot.

Ah, "Generation X"...the great lost comic TV series that could have been...wasn't it Finola Hughes from "General Hospital"?

Only Fox and NBC? not too shabby! Since for the well-educated citizen Fox alone is enough, you shouldn't complain... ;-)

Jimbo

That florist rugby guy is CUTE! I'll have to post some beefcake photos of him artfully arranging flowers.

Unfortunately, today's "Dazzler" would probably star either Jessica Simpson or set up as a "comeback vehicle" for Britney Spears.

I loved Dazzler!! Should have been yet another clue to my parents. My fav superhero was a disco singer and roller skated. Hello! Of course, I also loved the shirtless sketches of Wolverine, which should have hinted to my other proclivities. But I digress...

A live action Dazzler? If wanted to go big budget, I'd say Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson or Rihanna. For real actresses, maybe Julia Stiles or Kirsten Dunst.

Be careful out there Jimbo! jimbo.info must continue.

I'm not obsessed. I'm just very, very spirited. :(
