dragonflies & sweaty men
Today Homer and I braved the heat to go out to Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens to see some wildlife and lily pads. We're both worn out from the heat and last night's excesses (more on that later), so I will be brief. Here's a pretty dragonfly (Perithemis tenera - the Eastern Amberwing Dragonfly, thanks Sea!) I caught trying out the macro setting on my camera:

And poor you that yer a/c broke. Not a good thing.

Just this weekend I was thinking about dragon flies. In FL when I was a kid I used to catch and play with the green and blue -jeweled toned ones that were everywhere. But here in the Ohio River Valley, all I see at black ones with white markings. It makes me sad.
You/whomever needs new bedding. Garfield? Not even ironic.
