today's affirmations

On Global Domination:

There is no room for negativity in my eventual global domination. - bradford

On Being An Individual:

Yesterday I burnt my gay-bear card. I shaved every hair from my body. Head, beard, pits,... everything. Everything. And with that I feel so much better. I feel like I'm finally out of costume and that feels incredible. I'll grow it back when I feel like it, but not a second sooner. - jackal

On Emergent Technology:

Suck my crusty venereal infected clit you reality flop colorectal mother fucker! What the pussywillow is the purpose of the music if you can't fracking listen to it either on your computer, iPod, or in your automobile? - schitzo

Words to live by, all.

kudos to jackal on the statement of individuality ... gay culture seems rampant with the need for guys to fit into a niche ... down with the gay heathers!

I don't understand how shaving down to look like an under-age twink makes one an individual.

Well, considering he looked like a bear before and admitted he was feeling like it was a costume, I'm all for it. It's relative considering the group he's in is the bear blog listing.

I find the bear scene to be a bit mono-culture-ish, where they all seem to have to wear the same clothes and have the same beard, etc. and the irony is that it was in reaction to the twink/circuit scene, and yet ended up having just as much sameness in it as the circuit scene.

So I'm all for working on the Jimbo scene, HoHandy scene, etc. While I like furry bulky guys with beards, I don't when they all sorta blend in with each other. Cognitive dissonance I guess.

I'm currently clean shaven too, but mostly because it's frikkin' hot here in DC.

Humans are pack animals, with occasional slips into solitude. Those who fall outside whatever the dominant group is form their own group which copies most of the attributes of the larger group, except for usually one trait. They then insist they are completely different. It's simply the nature of the beast.
