tiffany versus deborah gibson

When I say I'm hanging pictures on the wall, I mean my framed prints, not my tattered Purple Rain or Tiffany posters from college up on the walls. FYI: the framed prints range from 8 1/2" X 11" to 2 1/2' X 1 1/2' sticky doubly stickem tape will not do, and I cannot put a nail into these walls. I think the drill option is the best choice.

In the past two weeks I have lost my SmartRail card, a Metrorail Card with like $15 on it, my debit card, and my checkbook. All in various places due to absentmindedness, as I'm clearly stressed out and losing shit. This is also why I'm particular about where my stuff is, simply because if I wasn't, I wouldn't know it was there and I would lose it. Since I don't have dandruff, I shed small items and property instead.

Last night I took a break from unpacking and just read a book. It was very nice not to do something. It is also amazing how much spare time you have without a cable or Internets connection, which I have yet to hook up. Perhaps I will choose not to get cable for this reason.

Some pictures from moving day on Monday:
home with boxes
Moving boxes everywhere: "My God, it's full of crap!"
aww yeah gettin' crunked with my 40
Christening my crib with some Schlitz Malt Likka.
dry run
Chrisafer and Bubbles test my bed with a dry run.

There's something far more "nasty" about the second picture with the Schlitz, the beer nuts shirt and the grabbing of your own nuts, than the third one. Still it all fits together so well.

Yep it sounds like drilling is your best option. When you move out the wall holes can be sealed with a mix of crest white toothpaste and spackled over.

Hey Jimbo, looking good. Is that a roll of quarters in your pocket???? hehehehe Congratulations on the new place.

Thanks, Jimbo! I was just thinking the other day "I wish I had more pictures of my ass."

That likka pix is hot! Glad your getting settled. um, what is the aquarium for? Inquiring minds and all....

I'm not used to being this turned on at work.

Picture number two is rather cute for a variety of reasons. Drinking Schlitz Malt Liquor with your pinkie daintily held aloft is so very post-gay. Especially when your other hand seems to be scratching your "beer nuts."

RE: schlitz malt liquor

You have your pinky in the air and your other hand down your pants. A man after my own heart.

One shouldn't call other people BITCHES, dear, especially when one needs advice and help.

I still stand by my 3M anchors. They are made with a special adhesive and are designed to stick to a wall and hang art (or just prints for the less fortunate). Two will hold a heavy framed print, with no damage to the wall.

Posted by: Glenn at June 2, 2005 04:30 PM

No damage, except for where they pull the paint off, or leave stubborn adhesive residue on the wall. I have had to scrape a LOT of that stuff off the walls of apartments I've moved into over the years. Glenn, that stuff is just trashy.

Wow - that was real.

So now we all know that Chrisafer's a top. (his furry legs gave him away)

Agreed with Sparky about ripping the paint off and adhesive glidge it can leave.

To be fair to Glenn, he had to deal with much worse than residual adhesive once I passed the Swanktuary on to his custody. I left him with two apartments worth of excess furniture and crap, and even some walls that eventually had to go. All that pales in comparison to my days of scraping glue tape off walls in the slums.

To be fair to Sparky, he relies on us to hang things for him. In the 21st century, they've made jumps forward on all sorts of things. I'm not talking about the nasty poster putty stuff or even double sided tape from the old days. That was very gross stuff, I agree.

Go to this website to see a much better option.

Sparky can call my fashion, web skills, and food prep pathetic, but he’d better not mock my construction advice. I'm the wrong person for paint color choices, or positioning of art, or picking the right couch, but I'm the best person to hand the hammer to.
