it must be the drumsticks
The Mesmers were a lot of fun last night, and they have the cutest drummer ever, who sorta looks like Johnny with furry arms. He smiled a lot too. Smiley people are hot.
It's always the drummers though - never the bassists or the lead singers, I'm always hot for the drummers. Roger Taylor, Larry Mullen and of course Sheila E.
More fuck'd up shit from Texas (aside from Mr. President, that is): gifted male singer in the countertenor range isn't allowed to compete against his soprano peers in state vocal competitions, due to his gender. Again, I see gender issues as the core factor in what freaks people out about gays and any sort of difference in sexuality, orientation, or identity. Calling GenderPAC...

You forgot to mention Peter Criss (The Catman) from KISS. :-P (just kidding)
I read about the boy in Texas who can sing soprano. Although I find it odd that a Boy his age can sing that high of a range (with out being a falsetto) I think that if he has the talent he should be allowed to participate, of course only if they allow females who can sing in the tenor/bass range as well.
I dont think that the issue with the boy has anything to do with sexual orientation or gender identity. I think the issue is if this rule of only girls can sing soprano and boys can only sing tenor/bass is discriminatory or not.

So tiresome to read about that boy- when will people get a fricken clue? If someone has a talent, let them use it.

Filter had a hot drummer, as did Nitzer Ebb. Saw both of them in concert at the old 9:30 club. Well, I guess the middle 9:30 clubs. Not the original, but not the one on V Street, either.

I don't think that the countertenor should be placed in the same category as the soprano. It's not about gender, it's about voice. The notes might be in the same range, but the voices are completely different (stylistically). I would be interested though if they had a blind competition if he could compete against sopranos. Farinelli Rocks!!!
