happy syttende mai!

Syttende Mai = 17th of May, which has a similar significance in Norway as July 4th has in the United States of America. It marks the country's declaration of independence and the triumph of constitutional government. This day is also called Constitution Day and National Day and is a great spring festival in Norway.

Oh Jimbo, when you told me you had a date with a troll I didn't really believe it, until now!

Yes, I date trolls. Scandinavian Hill Trolls that is. I prefer to date the ones who eat small children.

I always wondered what happned to my Calc I prof, Dr. Rashid ...he's eating small children with jimbo [under a bridge in the hills?] LOL

When we'd tease each other as children, we'd call each other trollchildren. It was mean, but fun. Basically trolls steal peoples' children and replace them with their own. So it's even worse than calling someone fugly.

Perhaps the original jimbo was replaced by a pixie, cuz JoeMyGod told me once I look like a furry pixie.

We have one of those!!! He's rocking out on a guitar. When I'm sad, he lulls me to sleep with a gentle lullabye and then sucks the boogies out of my nose and eats them.

Is a pixie a kind of fairy? In terms of mythological creatures I think you kind of Minotaur like- fierce, hairy, and with an appetite for virgins.

Hey, It's also the Independence centennial today in Norway, so they're really celebrating...
