A.D.D. Prayer revisited

It's 2 hours before my class presentation tonight, and I can't stop fucking around. Time again for the A.D.D. Prayer:

God grant me the Serenity focus on my tasks at hand,
The Courage to prioritize,
and the Wisdom to know the difference between work and personal e-mail and blogging and washigntonpost.com and calling Gurl and looking at bigmusclebears.com and looking out the window and chatting with my coworkers and planning my week and thinking about what time I should go to the gym tomorrow and what I'm gonna do for Halloween and how cute that one guy at lunch was and like which empire am I gonna play for my next Civilization game and like what kind of monsters I'm going to pull out of my hat when I DM the next D&D Halloween special and like what's for dinner tonight omigawd I'm so hungry maybe I should go down the hall for a snack or maybe go outside and call my brother or like plan my Christmas travels and...

I'm going with the Celts personally, mainly because for some reason a small army of gaelic swordsman makes me giggle.

If you pick Americans, you can remember which cities you have.
If you pick French/Germans, there aren't any other Germans around and blue is such a lovely color.
Or pick the English because as an opponent they build too many cities and get in the way.

You should have called me if you were hungry, I was making 2 kinds of curry.

I've been partial to the Celts lately for their Religious bent (I like cultural victories). I also dig Spain or the Aztecs (I love being Queen Isabella: "DESTROY THEM!!!").

I name my cities after queeny city nicknames and gay 'hoods: Charm City, Chocolate City, Chelsea, DuPont, Soho, Castro, Boy's Town. And of course there's Gurlopolis, Swish City and Jimbopolis.

I'm addicted to religious myself, as I am a chronic temple builder. I want that square over there damnit! I've turned off cultural victories because I always pummel my opponents, on emperor at least.

Another thing I like about the Celts is that the pyramids send you into a golden age, which I have found is infinitly more beneficial in that transitional period into the middle ages, than most any other time. Granted, on emperor, getting the pyramids is a dice roll, and I have never done it on a higher difficulty.

Also, lime green is such a serene color.

Lately I have been naming my cities after Jem and the Holograms references, Synergyville, Kipper's Kastle, Stormer's Stronghold, etc. because I am a fag.

An exciting thing happened in my last campaign, I was taught literature by the goths. I cracked myself up thinking that the great written works of my people would go something like,'Oh, wretched lonliness. In the darkest hour of the harvest, please awake from your slumber, oh goddess. Punish us, for we are the forsaken.'

I am a nerd.
