It'll sorta be like The W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. Talent Show in NYC, but with hep MP3 music spun around afterwards, and ya won't have to leave to go socialize, you can just stay there and chill with the hipsters.

The omission of Jocko is a gaping hole, surely this must be some sort of oversite, If you are going to do a show, at least do it right and include those who have contributed to the overall landscape of blogging. If it just includes those that you think are 'hot' or 'cute' perhaps a private circle jerk is in order.

Ben, Oh Presumptuous One: This is no "oversite." I'd love to include Jocko, as he has an engaging commentary on cultural phenomena, but Ohio is far from here and I've never met the guy in person.
In addition, we are working to show local DC bloggers, with a few exceptions. Consideration was given to those bloggers whose blog 'voice' can easily translate to a live prose performance format. Blogjam will not represent the overall landscape of blogging. There are plenty of quality topical blogs out there that we chose not to include, as while their content is pithy, I question their ability to translate into a performance format.
Plus, wouldn't the inclusion of Jocko make it MORE of a 'hot' circle jerk, not less? And while Wonkette is a cutie, I wouldn't say she'd be included in any kind of circle jerk, purely for anatomical reasons. She is a straight female.
My only regrets with the lineup was that I no longer know any lez women in DC to invite, although we're workin' on getting a 'blogger of color' to be more inclusive. Would you feel better if we invited a blogger with visible tumors, or horrible burn scars?
