robin all grown up
Thanks to my buddy Andrew for catching this one - a low-budget live action fanfilm entitled Grayson, about a corrupt Gotham City 20 years after the golden age of heroes. Batman is dead, and a woofy, built and scrumptuous Dick Grayson comes out of retirement as Robin to right the wrongs. It even looks like Superman and Wonder Woman are slaves to Tha Man. I'm not sure if it's going to be a real short film or if it's just a hyped trailer, but it looks pretty darn good for low budget.
Tonight I paid off the last bit of my debt that has been riding my back since I moved to DC seven years ago. It feels real good.

Saw this as well (thanks to my brother) Its cool. Reminds me of the "ElseWorlds" comics that DC puts out from time to time.

That trailer ROCKED!

Will the film be released as an indie? Or will DC Comics squelch it??
Paying off debt is a wonderful thing. In 3 years I'll be virtually debt free with no car loan and all student loans paid in full.

It's not a real film. What you've seen is all there is to it. It was done as a way of getting studios interested in doing a full version of the film, but right now, it's just in John Fiorella's imagination, since they don't even have the rights from DC/Warner Bros. to do what they've already done, let alone a full version.

Dang. Well I demand the whole movie then!

A lot of the problem is that Warner, in their infinite wisdom, sold off the movie rights to all their characters to all different people so it would take a miracle to get a movie like this made. Still the trailer is great, and it is amazing what people can come up with.

Wow, that's not the Robin I remember -- and that's a good thing. Of course, the part that made me tingly was seeing the amazing Amazon in action. Now there's a movie I'd really like to see.
Congrats on dumping the debt. I wish I could do it faster.

Wow. Scott showed the trailer this morning, and it's all I could think about. Furry Robin. Boy wonder no more! Now he's a woofy wonder! Thanks for putting the trailer on the site.
