Yeah, they're frying them up with butter and garlic here, but since they're in the arthropoda group, people with shellfish allergies will have a problem with them. Plus there's the issue of bioaccumulation of toxins over their 17 year lifespan...so don't eat too many, OK?
The picture depicts the Bush Cicada-Queen in her first molt. After the next molt, Bush will have mandibles, extra chelae, and an additional pair of insectile legs. She will then lay millions of eggs around the White House lawn, and in the DC water supply, thus implanting the entire populace of DC with Bush-Cicada larvae, which will take them (and the US) over in 17 years.
