Bob's got blog. Big Rob did a makeover. Bubba: come to DC for MAL. Bradford is now a bear. Breakups are back in style. Boys on BMW bikes are hot. Boys with bucks are hotter. And the hottest are bad boys like you. And we always love Beaverhausen.

Christ Jimbo - why didn't you ever tell me you knew Bob Mould? I've been a fan of his ever since I bought my first Richard Thompson compilation CD.

Truth be told: I'm just a neo-bob & blowoff fan. I can't even pronounce husker dü. I thought it was Nebraska alumni group until recently.

I've actually never heard much Husker Du stuff. He covered 'Turning of the Tide' on 'Beat the Retreat' (a compilation of Richard Thompson covers). I started checking out his work with Sugar, then his solo stuff. Tony told me he's now moved in a completely different direction (more techno-sounding), but I haven't heard any of it yet. Still, Turning of the Tide and Black Sheets of Rain go down as two of my favorite songs.

Saucer of milk for table nine...'snooty elitist obese men' - you go girl! Very astute, and spookily universal - they're exactly the same in London - it seems the 'bear movement' was just one big bruised ego waiting to happen.

Ta for the mail while I was 'away' by the way Jim - it made the darkness a bit easier to bear.
