please step away from the drag queens

My first day went well, but I'm tired as hell. There's going to be an adjustment period with my sleep patterns as mentioned before. However, the difference between a university job and a contracting job is palpable. No tension, and the attitude at the workplace is relaxed. It didn't hurt that we had a Halloween party on my first day either. I took the opportunity to hobnob with my coworkers, who are very eager to chat for long periods of time, even throughout the workday.

So I have my own office, a nice robust computer, but lots of readying to do to get the job done. I'm too pooped to write much more, but in short it's been a good start.

Tomorrow evening I'll be helping my buddy Seamus with the annual 17th Street High Heel Race. No drag this time...just too much going on right now. I'll be doing race marshalling though, which should be just as fun. Obey me, and please step away from the drag queens!

I'll be there at the HHR. I'll wave hi. Just make sure that my friend wins, girl.
