X-Men
Oh, and I fergot to mention, LoudBomb at the Black Cat was a lot of fun. Bob rocked and his drummer was cute like Larry Mullen. There was a small cell of alterna-gay boys there too, which was cool. I liked the space, but the smoke became a bit much. Kids these days smoke more than gay boys in a cocktail bar, it seems.
I finally got around to seeing the X-Men at the Uptown. It was tight as expected, and I was suprised that they shoved sooo many sub-plotlines and characterizations in there. I think most non-geeks would have a hard time keeping up. Mystique rules, she's the tightest, and Magneto's prison escape was awesome. And howabout that beefalicious Colossus!? YUMMJMMY!! Did you know...the actor who played him used to be a rugby player. You will all be suprised to know that I thought Bobby Drake was kinda cute too. Must be the ice thing or something.
Yaaay! I have strep again! However, this time it was diagnosed by my tonsil doctor, thus validating his statement that my tonsils must be removed. And thanks to all of you for sharing your tonsil removal horror stories with me!

I liked the way NightCrawler was portrayed. Very Religious but not a Jesus Freak. And his German was very accurate.
The ending most certainly promises another segment to the Movie franchise.

jimbo, have you been "creepin 'round my backstair" again? My hubby was complaining of a sore throat just this morning and had strep earlier this year. Just kidding. But seriously, it's either the tonsilectomy or lighten up on the nookie with those crack whores.

X2 was just rife with subplots. The one I especially liked is the killing of Jean Grey by drowning in a river. Of course, she comes back as Phoenix. Anyway...

X-Men rocked! Bobby Drake was yummy! Colossus was yummy (he clearly deserved more screen time then he got ;-) The opening scene with NightCrawler was the best in the whole movie, NightCrawler was so cool in this movie. I can't wait for the next one.

I don't think it's strep, but I've got something involving a sore throat and general feelings of crankiness. Jimbo, have we been macking on the same men?
Of course, not having been in the DC area since October might shoot some holes in that theory...

Sometimes, no. You see, there's so much jimbo to go around, that some of it has to go. Take my ingrown toenails for example. They were too wide and splayed out and folded down into the flesh on my toes. For years they plagued me, until it finally got too painful during rugby. I got the edges of the toenails removed, and now they don't look like Fred Flintstone toenails any more. And there is no pain when running, either!
