Adorkable beardy guy with a great voice sings a moving arrangement of “Gabriel’s Message”

You may recall Sting’s version featured on the first “A Very Special Christmas” album released in 1987 as a benefit for the Special Olympics.

Of course I must repost my favorite holiday song “The Closing of the Year” from the “Toys” motion picture soundtrack by Wendy and Lisa featuring Seal:

  1. Blobby says:

It’s better than Sting’s version. I like it.

  2. Sean says:

I’ll never forget watching “Toys” in the theater in 1992 and nearly falling out of my seat when Wendy appeared on the screen. Such an amazing song.

  3. Lucas Weeks says:

I’m glad to hear that you enjoy the Good Shepherd Band’s rendition of “Gabriel’s Message”. Gabriel’s message, of course, was that Christ the Savior, God in the flesh, was to be born. Why? Because of your sin, and my sin. We stand condemned before God.

God dwelt among us so that He, Jesus Christ, could die in our place. We–you and I–deserve death, but God has mercifully made provision for us if we repent and turn away from our sins.

Why not celebrate Christmas by turning to Jesus Christ for grace and mercy? He is eager to receive all those who come to him.

  4. Thom says:

A little research on that band reveals they are associated with an extremely right wing church cloaked in feel good jargon. That said, I would still fuck the hell out of that lead singer. Praise Jeebus.

  5. Thom says:

And, just in case you need proof that the members of this church are batshit crazy, here’s a post from their senior pastor. In it, he says that “feminism, homosexualism, and veganism” are all part of a grand Satanic conspiracy. Good times!

    Praise Jeebus!
