A Place Where Nobody Dared to Go
I think it's time for another screening of Xanadu.
"A story about a girl who makes dreams come true."
Xanadu Megamix. Another non-O.N-J megamix.
Electric Light Orchestra + Don Bluth animation (pre- or post-Dragon's Lair?)
Thanks to Brettie for the incredibly obscure image of the album cover that's the front for O.N-J's character in the film.
Where on earth did you find that?

Thanks for the earworm.
I saw Xanadu in the theater when it came out. Twice. I was in 7th grade, and I played my 45 of "Magic" on endless repeat for days.
Oh such a gay boy was I...
Isn't it nice that, two years later, Olivia loaned that sequined skullcap to Julie Andrews for Victor/Victoria?
Seriously I have a big spot in my heart for this one. I saw it while home from uni visiting the redneck, homophobic little town I was born in. In addition to good movie memories I recall the local "boys" making of the black muse's top knot hairstyle and yelling "fag" when male dancers were onscreen.
No matter, three years later my uni's LBGT group had public movie nights each Tuesday and our first month included a showing of ... Xanadu! Let's say the audience was more enlightened that time. There may have been some sing-along action but i'll neither confirm nor deny. :)
I watched this on Hulu last year. What the frack? It was a mess.
