1st day of new job
Not enough sleep, hottest week of the year, and I'm in stuffy pants and a suit, wearing a pair of Steve Martin's cruel shoes:
"He opened the lid and removed a hideous pair of black and white pumps. But these were not an ordinary pair of black and white pumps; both were left feet, one had a right angled turn with separate compartments that pointed the toes in impossible directions. The other shoe was six inches long and was curved inward like a rocking chair with a vise and razor blades to hold the foot in place. "
Nothin' spectacular to report on the new job as of yet, typical first day chores like fillin' in tax and direct deposit forms and all that. Many people are out on training or summer vacation, so learning new names and titles wasn't as overwhelming as it could have been.
Tomorrow I am wearing reasonable shoes. My feet are mangled stumps today. Even rugby cleats worn at the first practice of the season are more merciful than my "dress to impress" shoes.

That is a super handsome look you got going there.
Ugh. Suits just freak me right the fuck out - sets off my claustrophobia like nobody's bidness. So much so that I'm pretty sure I couldn't work in a job that required them.
Damn. That is one fine piece of rugby bear all dressed up for work.
Look how spiffy you are! How many times did you gag from wearing that tie? Ugh. I hate wearing a tie or a suit except for funerals. My Sketcher brand professional black shoes are way more comfortable than my way more expensive Kenneth Coles.
Shave.
Depending on the office culture you may be showing up to work in a polo shorts, black jeans, and sneakers. That's what my office mate GS12 or GS13 is wearing today, and everyday.
Damn, you're hot!
You look damn good in that suit.
For the interview for my current job, I ripped the seat of my pants on the way to the interview. I remained remarkably calm since I didn't really have a choice but to go to the interview in what I was wearing. Then, the first day of my job, it was in the 90s with 100% humidity and I was literally soaking through my shirt. I don't mind wearing a suit, but not in the summer.
Dressing up flatters you Jimbo, even if it's not comfy. But then you're a guy who always looks good in photos (at least the ones you post!). Good luck in the new job - hopefully the dress requirements will mellow out.
Looking Hot!
good luck with the new work
"Put them on me," she said. But, but... "Put them on me!"
You look quite spiffy!!!
Very, very handsome. Good luck with the new job.
Well, you know what they say Jimbo. It's not how you feel but how you look. And you look GOOD! GRRR!
You smokin' bitch ... look at you.
My gawd yer FUCKING hawt Jimbo..... now do me ;)
You clean up good! Good luck with the new job!
I really like that tie, and you do look all spiffed up
See how easy it is to attract a flurry of "you're so hot comments" when you're willing to objectify yourself for your loyal readers.
Damn, you look hot - very seann scott!
I feel so conflicted now...
I'm surprised that nobody has yet mentioned how much you look like a younger George Clooney in that photo/
How's the new gig going? A year ago when I started my current job I would fall asleep by 8:00 on the couch. Starting up is so exhausting.
Talk to you soon.

You're looking good Jimbo! Maybe tomorrow you should wear your cha cha heels, they'd look good with the suit.
Bet o' luck with the new gig.
