Those damn kids got in the fish pond again. I think the goldfish have learned to be very smart from the mystery midnight critter visits and are good at hiding. Plus I don't think it's that easy to catch goldfish with a Dixie cup.

Mari says I need an eel or piranhas to guard the pond, but both options would probably eat the goldfish. If I could get a mated pair of those critters from the Duran Duran "The Wild Boys" video (right) that would be even better than a piranha. I mean, Simon Le Bon just barely escaped getting eaten by one of those things! And that was after he got multiple waterboard treatments on an evil Dutch windmill from some Mad Max film. Simon Le Bon is a badass mothafukka.

The Wild Boys video was pretty rad for its time. I've noticed they don't play videos on VH-1 and MTV anymore, and what's worse they're filling up air time with reruns of The Bachelorette. The only place I see videos now are in gay bars. Despite the "post-gay" movement there's still at least one reason to go to gay bars. The other night at JRs I saw the Maroon 5 feat. Rhianna video for the track "If I Never See Your Face Again." HOT on both ends. Adam is sooo dreamy...

I must mention that both JRs and Cobalt have recently installed low-flow water-saving urinals. Gay goes "Green"! With a little bit of yellow...

Maybe you should play stakeout and shoot the little fuckers with a paintball gun when they come around.

Let's not forget, Simon has plenty of experience in near-drowning, thanks to his capsized racing yacht, Drum.

Wotta doosh!

The urinals in JRs look like something out of Batman.

As a high school senior, I recall being rather impressed with Simon's basket in the part of the video where he's tied to the water wheel. And just think--that was with shrinkage!

I well remember arguing which member of Duran Duran was cuter, circa 1985.

Just so you know, the video is banned in Sri Lanka. Love the freedom here!

I had forgotten how semi-artistic some music videos could be back in the day. That's almost operatic,, lol.

You should lace the pond with some sort of biological contagin that is harmless to fish and wildlife, but makes humans get ill.

Oh the only way you can watch Music videos now on TV is if you have satelite (like Direct TV for example) Its the only way to get channels like VH1 classics, MTV 2 and VH1 2.0

They will never play my favourite music videos at any gay bar... not unless there is a sudden demand for Rammstein, Danzig and Motley Crue.

That "Wild Boys" video evoked a lot of Eighties video schtick with the over-choreographed, scantily-clad dancers wearing forest-primeval outfits. The toothy sea creature seems like a metaphor for the emerging AIDS epidemic of those years.
