Many communities just across the river have been severely flooded, or have experienced landslides. It's basically been raining nonstop since Saturday. Photos from the LaCrosse Tribune here.

Today I drove my brother up to the Minneapolis airport. I took the river roads back home, and snapped this photo of a barge on the Mississippi in the mist, from Lake City, MN, birthplace of waterskiing:

Korn Fest was fun, albeit wet. Photos from the whole weekend here. I'm flying back to DC tomorrow. I hope some of this wet makes it to DC at least.

Seeing these photos caused me to let out a HUGE sigh of relief. I had mistakenly thought you were into that loud band named Korn and that you were a headbanger. I was so disappointed on Friday and was like "Ewww."

But... thank goodness you were just being clever!!! I love the pictures with you next to the skinny guy. Seeing your handsome face and pretty eyes. God. I want to sit on that face. ;)

BIG HUG,

Brett

The picture of that little kid with corn is great. Is he your nephew?

Brings back memories of summers in Eau Claire and Mondovi.

Yup. Looks like Wisconsin to me.

Yeah, it's been a drizzle the past few days. It's cooled off, which is nice around these parts.

I have DC weather on my desktop, so even though I'm thousands of miles away I can tell you, it has been raining there.

If you care, it rained in Colombo yesterday. We had a very dry monsoon this year. Everyone here blames it on climate change.

I too am happy to see you did not mean the band Korn.
